Dr. Elish has been practicing medical and cosmetic dermatology as well as general medicine for over 12 years. She co-authored a book, "Spitz's Nevus": Reassessment Critical, Revision Radical, with the world-renowned dermatopathologist/dermatologist Dr. A. Bernard Ackerman and has published many journal articles.

Dr. Elish graduated magna cum laude from Queens College of City University of New York and received her medical degree at Saint George's University School of Medicine, graduating with honors. After spending a year and a half at the Ackerman Academy of Dermatopathology as a research fellow, Dr. Elish completed residency in internal medicine at Maimonides Medical Center. 

She is board certified both in internal medicine and aesthetic medicine.
